OE Downloaded emails nowhere to be found???

My OE 6.0 Inbox emails from Aug 1 onwards disappeared and all new ones don't
arrive in Inbox. Those tagged for their own folders do appear.
Last week I was trying to select a lot of files from a Search and Move to
Folder but an error box (no, didn't note it's info) kept appearing. If I only
selected one or two it seemed to Move them. Then it just stopped alltogether
but no error box. When I just closed the Search window, lo and behold, all my
Inbox emails from about August 1 were gone. Didn't show in a Search, etc.
What happened to them, can I retrieve them, what did I do to cause this to
happen? Do I have a 'worm' or something?
Been checking email (earthlink on webmail so the new won't disappear). Help!

For Outlook Express support, you'll want to ask in the
microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general newsgroup.

Since you're also using the web based newsreader rather than outlook
express, you might want to use
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
(or, since you're using Outlook Express for mail, look at the steps in
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/community/columns/newsgroups101.mspx for
how to set up OE to use the microsoft newsgroup server).
