OE will not let me open file attachments

My Outlook express will not let me open file attachments
even with Adobe. When you click on the attachment or even
try to save it, it does nothing. If I go up to the
attachment next to my list of emails and right click on it
and then click on open it says OE will not let you open
the attachment and it says something else that leads you
to believe the attachment will harm the computer. It does
this for all of them, there is no way everyone who sends
me email is sending something harmful. Does anyone know
what is going on. I have Win 98. Thanks for any help.

This is a safety feature, which you can turn off at your own risk. See
