So my workplace uses the backward 2000 Office suite, and they're too cheap to
upgrade. Needless to say, since my boss archives all of his e-mails, he ran
up against the 2GB limit last year, long before I was hired. Apparently
unable to find support.microsoft.com and troubleshoot, he gave up and just
started using OE6 instead.
I finally convinced him to CONSIDER upgrading to Office 2007, so he
immediately downloaded the demo and tried to start using Outlook again.
Outlook found the old PST store and started using it just fine, but obviously
my boss has been using OE6 for a year, so he needs those e-mails and contacts
too.
Easy, right? File->Import->Internet addresses & messages->OE6. It runs, and
says that it has imported "0 of 1 messages." What? He has hundreds of
messages in dozens of folders!
I have no idea what this guy did to his computer last year when Outlook 2000
acted up on him, but I'm starting to think he damaged something. Anyone's
thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!
