oe6 restore message folder from .bak to local folders?

OE6 problem restore message folder

Hi. I have inadvertantly deleted my "Old Messages" folder under local
folders in OE6.

I have found the backup (.bak) in the recycle bin, renamed it .dbx, and
tried just about everything to get OE6 to put the folder back where it was.

But with no luck.

Anyone out there able to help?
