OEx Version 6 won't open

I'd downloaded Outlook Express Version 6 months ago. Two
days ago, it will not open: the frame comes up with the
folder listing on the left and the download bar a little
over halfway thru it's run, then it stops and the pop-up
comes up stating "this program has performed an illegal
operation and will shut down." The details are as
follows: MSIMN caused an exception c0000006H in module
DIRECTDB.DLL at 0167:01af5556. I cannot find that on any
support/troubleshooting site for OLEX 6. Can anyone
help???
