How dumb is this???? - Just got the ofice 2000 sp3 update cd from MS. Need
the disk becuase I'm putting it on a computer with no internet access. SP1a
isn't on the disk!! Someone here (can't remember who) said it wouldn't be
there, but the web site said it would. It would certainly make sense, but now
the question is, if I download the program and put it on a disk (it's only
134k), will it work on a PC without internet? or is the download just an
executable that will then look to the internet for the data?

Hi, Richie. The Office 2000 SR1a download is self-contained, so you can
download it from any computer and run it on any other computer (even one
without internet access). You probably won't be able to put SR1a on the same
CD that SP3 came on, but you can make a new CD that contains both.
