Off97 Macros and Windows 2000

Dave

If you're running Off97 on a W2K Pro workstation, does
your account require special permissions to run macros.
Without escalating a users privilege, I'm unable to run
Off97 macros (only works w/ power user or local admin
privs).

Thanks,
- Dave

Hi Dave,

Thank you for the posting. As you indicated you are running Office 97 on
W2K Pro. The Off97 macros only works with power user or local admin
privs.

Regarding this issue, we are providing you with the following two
suggestions to check.

Suggestion one: Check the Macro security level.

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click the Security tab.
3. Under Macro Security, click Macro Security.
4. Click the Security Level tab, and then select the security level to LOW.

After the security level set to LOW, the macro should run correctly.

Suggestio two: Check group policies

Run gpedit.msc to check the group policy settings to verify if there is any
configuration regarding this.

Hope the above information and suggestion helps and answers your question.
If anything is unclear or anything further we can help with from our side,
please let me know.

Sincerely,

Cherry Qian
