Office '03 Pro freezes for 30-45 seconds while trying to print

We are having a problem where Office '03 Pro will freeze for approximately
30-45 seconds after you try to print something. It will then ask if you want
to continue to wait for the printer. After you press Yes or OK, it goes
ahead with the print job and works fine. Is there a way to fix this?
