Office 2003 only runs on Windows and Office 2004 only runs on a Mac... I
don't see how you could actually uninstall Office 2--3 from your Mac.
Am-I missing something ??? :-\

I have office student v.X sorry i just assumed it was 2003 because the
new version was called 2004. When i first got my powerbook it had
microsoft office v.X testdrive and it said taht i had to uninstall it
before i put on the retail version of office v.X. I was wondering if
i had to do the same since the student version cannot be updated and
that I am switching from a student version to the standard version.

According to the 2004 upgrade box, the Student & Teacher Edition of v.X is
counted as an eligible product for upgrading to 2004.

You don't have to un-install it, but if you decide to, the Remove Office
tool is in the Value Pack on the CD, but if you Remove X after installing
2004, it may pick up some of your preferences. More information at the end
of this article, if you have customizations you don't know how to save:

(hit refresh a few times in safari or use different browser)
