Office 03 Student version

what do i need to register the student version... am i
proving i am a student at purchase, or during registration?
i understand i can not upgrade this product in the
future... but can i download updates and service packs?

You show proof of eligibility at purchase, However some retailers don't seem
to check. You should be able to download SP's and Updates without any
problems.
