office 07 Enterprise - continual "windows is configuring" popup

I've installed and activated 0ffice 2007 Enterprise on a Vista 64 bit
machine. Everytime I instantiate any of the office apps, I get a popup window
stating " Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Enterprise
2007"

Is this a "feature", as it's driving me mad!

Same situation with me. Vista 64 and Office 2007.
Adobe Acrobat 8 started this for me. Then it migrated to Office '07 Ent. I
finally reinstalled the OS...

Worked fine for awhile, but after adding Visio and Project, I'm getting the
Windows Installer Message now on all apps again now.... And Project will
not even run at all.... tries to configure twice and the I get a message Out
of Memory....

Imagine that no memory on a 64 bit system with 4GB and 3Gb free....

Vista.... and 64 at that... Is there a way to turn off all security in it?
I'm already running with UAC off....

I tried pretty much most of the suggested fixes around the forums, as well as
cleaning out the registry. I already had the utterly annoying UAC off though.
I bit the bullet and reinstalled the OS, then Office immediately on top of
that once it had patched via Windows update. Office is working OK now
thankfully, butit seems to be quite a common problem, both on 32 & 64 bit
OSs. I never had the additional Out of mem error though - though on the
machine in question I hadn't installed Visio or Project.

If you have ultimate, take a full system backup - once after the OS installs
& patches, then add office & do the sam after that. It's then worh doing it
intermittantly after that just to be on the safe side.

Yes, I had a full System of the O/S already and I brought it back and then
installed office and then took another backup and then the Office Updates,
and then another backup, etc.

Now that Full system backup is the best thing microsoft put into an OS.
That's the best thing about Vista.

I've used it several times thus far and it works great. and quick too. 15
min. and your up and running.

Everything is working fine now...

THanks.
