Problem
HP laptop came with office 07 Student/Teacher edition.
(The Student/Teacher edition apps have a non commercial use message at the
top of each office app.)
Installing full office professional/business version does not remove this
message. Uninstalling & reinstalling does not remove.
Is ther a file or registry entry I need to nuke before another reinstall
(sigh) in order to clear this message?
Another issue is that the S/T version was installed on C:etc. as a result,
the full version will install if told to do so on D:etc, but evidently sees
something that causes it to point to C:etc. the old location of the S/T
version.
In investigating the registry, I found that office installs literally over a
hundred references to the install location and the office apps.
(Talk about bloating the registry!) Excel is a very large contributor to
this multiplicity of location references.
