So I installed office beta2 (big mistake) and everything on my computer
got real slow, and at least half of my emails would not display
correctly, So I uninstalled it and now I have no outlook (I had office
2003 previosly) I tryed reinstalling just outlook but I get the
following error

"error 1402 Setup can not open the following registry key
HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\OFFICE\11.0\COMMON\FILTER\TEXT\XML
Verify that you have sufficient perrmissons to access the registry or
contact microsoft product support"

I am the administrator on this machine so I know it is not a
permissions issue. I have also tried a office repair but I get the same
error, I have tryed to navigate to this key in regedit but I get this
error "can not open text\xml: Error while opening key." Thanks in
advance for any help.

did you try using system restore to go back before you installed office
2007? I would use it and restore/repair office and reboot.

Yes, I just did that and now my outlook works but my excel is giving me
the same error...very frustrating...
