Office 200 won't install on Win XP Home Edition

I installed my copy of Office 2000 on my old computer
(running Win ME) with no problem. I've just bought a new
computer with pre-installed Win XP Home, but Office won't
install on it , it is looking for "previously registered
MS software" any ideas why ?
