OFFICE 2000/2003 with MANDATORY profiles (W2k3Svr)

We are about to embark on setting up new 2003 domains with mandatory
profiles. I am trying to find out some information on the effects roaming
mandatory profiles have with office 2000 and 2003 installations. These office
installations are not controlled centrally – they are standalone on each PC.

Has anyone had any experience of running this type of set up and are there
any steps we should take to ensure the installation goes smoothly?

Thanks.

I have this setup (Roaming) The only problem I have found
is that when logging onto a machine your profile is not
loaded on. Office will sometimes prompt you for the setup
disk. Pop it in and a second later your done. I have not
had the time to focus on what exactly office is looking
for. For me the one second it takes to put in the cd beats
the time finding the actual files Office is looking for.
Everything else is pretty smooth. Just remember with
roaming profiles some people keep their entire life there!
if a lot of people log on I have seen it fill the Windows
partition.

Oh Yeah FYI,
Some other settings do not come over in the migration.
Default reminder times Flagged emails have to be
reflagged, reminder time for tasks, note option colors and
font, the work week hours can default.
