Office 2000 and Vista

I bought a new computer about 6 months ago with Vista installed. I installed
my copy of Office 2000 small Business, and Access...all worked fine until
about 2 weeks ago. When I attempt to open Word, Access, or Excel they will
not open...a msg. states they have "...stopped working". I have
re-installed the programs to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks,

Generally speaking, Office XP and earlier are not fully compatible with Windows Vista as they were (and are) out of mainstream support during the development cycle for Windows Vista, and henceforth not tested.

Thanks; that almost answers the question. Will this affect an upgrade that
requires a prior installation of, say, Access?
