Office 2000 and Windows XP?

I just upgraded my computer to one with Windows XP-Pro. I
have reloaded my Office 2000 Standard software. At first
glance, it appears to operate correctly.

Can someone give me a definitive answer to whether or not
this software is XP compatible? If not, are downloads
available to make it compatible? Or, do I need to purchase
an Office Upgrade for XP?
