Office 2000 and Xp compatability

I have a home pc with Office 2000 installed on windows ME
operating system.

I have just aquired a laptop with Windows XP and Works
with word Xp pre-installed.

Can I install Office 2000 onto the laptop or will this
cause a problem. Will I need to uninstall Works First.

Works includes Word, so depending on the version of Word, there may be a
difference.
You can allways elect to do a custom install of Office and not include the
earlier version of Word, if this is the case
