Office 2000 "Application must be installed" error

I get a "this application must be installed to run.
Please run Setup from the location where you originally
installed the application." error when I start any of my
Office 2000 programs (word, excel, outlook, etc.) I've
been using these programs on this computer for a long time
and haven't changed anything. The only thing that I did
today was install "Jabber" (some chat app)
and "EasyMessage" (another chat app) but I uninstalled
them right after installing them...

Any one know what's going on!?
