First of all if I could get any advice on this issue it would be
greatly appreciated
K the issue. We have recently upgraded one of our satelite sites from
a linux fileserver and Windows 2000 SP4 to a full MS Domain & W2k3
Fileserver and Windows XP SP2 clients.
We have noticed some issues with regards Office 2000 in that should we
browse to a Networked Share folder (Drive mapping) within Excel\Word
etc. as soon as it meets a folder which contains Office files the
browse window stalls and states non responding for at least 30secs
before carrying on as normal.
If however we browse to the file via Explorer/My computer however we
go straight into the file without issue.
We deploy all Office patches via SMS and we have checked our
fileservers and clients for any irregularities, our Anti-Virus
solution is not scanning when browsing.
Only thing I can think of is some dll was corrupted on the image that
all these PC's were built from or needs re-registering.
I've searched the web for an hour or so trying to find a similar
situation/solution without success...so as Princess Leia said "Your my
only hope"
Thank you in Advance for your Assistance
