You can no longer get a CD from Microsoft for Office 2000.

Since the disk is scratched, have you tried to actually copy the contents to
the hard drive and installing that way. Occasionally that method is
successful. If you can copy all the files without error you can then create
a CD with the contents as a backup. You would be ahead of the game.

If the means above doesn't work, there are devices that can buff the CD and
may be successful in removing the scratch to a point where it can be read.
This will normally work if the scratch is on the underside and not on the
label side. If the label side is scratched deeply buffing the disk normally
won't work. If you don't have access or don't want to purchase the device
you can try to buff out the scratch with moist abrasive toothpaste or other
very fine moist abrasive on a soft cloth (don’t use any type of metal polish
however,) rubbing across the disk from the outside to the hole. Takes a lot
of work but unless the scratch is extremely deep I have used this method a
few times to clean up a CD to the point I could make a copy using the copy
method above. Basically, if the computer can't read the disk with the
scratch from the copy method above, you wouldn't have anything to lose by
trying the buffing described above.

Try to contact people to see if they have an exact version of the software
so you can duplicate their CD. It isn't piracy to do this since the CD can
be freely given away, the value is in the license.

As a last resort you can try to purchase a copy of the exact version of the
program on eBay. Even if it is a copy of the original it should work to
install your software with your license.
