Office 2000 Download I do not want

I keep getting a popup message wanting to upgrade my
Office 2000. All this popup does is continually hangup my
computer. I no longer have the CD requested to upgrade.
How do I stop this download info from continually
disrupting my computer? You can't contact Microsoft
because they want money to answer your question! Surprise,
surprise.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
