I have Office 2000 installed and it works proper in all programs such as
word, excel, PowerPoint, etc with NO problems.
However if I go to some children's game sites I go thru the routine of
getting a notice that I have error 1706 with no path and office installation
cannot continue. I then need to do multiple closes of notice after which
all runs fine. The problem is getting young children to do this if I am not
around.
Looking this problem up gives me much info from network fixes "I have no
network" to removing office and reinstalling "not gonna happen as it works
fine running office programs". Please isn't there a quick way to stop this
false error from occurring. I have run the register edit from kellys- korner
which claims to fix it with no luck.
Thank you
Mel
