Office 2000 file sharing with XP

E

Ed Morrison

I want to purchase XP for my home use, my work runs 2000.
If I bring files from home to run at work will 2000 be
able to open them? What (if anything) will I need to do to
share files between the two versions?

Hi Ed,

You should be able to open and edit the files in either version as the
file format has not changed.

If you want the documents to appear the same in either version then in
Word 2002 go to Tools/Options/Compatibility options set your default
compatibility for Word 2000.

Note these are slight changes and you may not even encounter them.
