office 2000 full file updates

baffled

many office 2000 updates will not install, even with cd in the drive, so I am
trying the full file versions. They are supposed to be self exstraction
however the when I attempt to open file after down loading, it ask where I
want the file to go. I don't have the slightest where the file is supposed
to go. Where is it supposed to go anyway?

When these updates came out the full file verions didn't auto-install. You
can extract the patch out to anywhere, just remember the location. It will
extract a .MSP file. Run this on the Start-> Run command line:

msiexec /p <path to MSP file>

this should update your Office installation
