Office 2000 Install Problem

I just bought a Dell Inspiron. I had the 2 discs for Microsoft Office 2000
and the code for installation.
I installed the first disc ,ok.
The second disc stopped and gave me the message, "Close running
program:Microsoft Agent Server(process id 836)"
I didn't know what that was so I hit IGNORE. It ran for a minute and now it
is frozen with the screen, "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft
Office 2000." Nothing happening for long time. Can u help

Hi citiboy392,

You could try starting the Task Manager, via Ctrl-Alt-Del, and killing either the Microsoft Agent Server(process id 836) or the
Office installer. Alternatively, you could re-start the PC, remove whatever's been installed (via the Control Panel) and start over.
