office 2000 install

I am trying to install Office 2000 Premium on my new Dell
laptop. However, I get a pop-up message saying that the
Windows Installer is unavailable.

What do I do?

Hi Jeremy,

Are you logged in as administrator?
Have you shut down all other apps/utility/antivirus
software when running Office 2000 setup?
