Hello,
after having installed Office 2000 on a Windows Server 2003 following
the instructions on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283675 I would like
to update it, the first step being the installation of SR-1.
I tried both via the Office Update website and by downloading
o2ksr1a.exe and executing that. In both cases all I got was a little
dialogue box with the title "SR-1 Repackage" and the contents "Can not
change to destination folder" (sic).
I am logged in as a domain user that is member of the local
administrators group. There is no entry in the event log concerning the
error or even the update attempt.
Installing from OFF2K_SR1a_x86_ENU.exe worked though, so what happens
there differently from a file and directory access point of view?
On another note: All updates and patches that follow (SR-3 etc) install
without any errors via Office Update.
Kind regards,
Gunde
