Office 2000 installation

While trying to install office 2000 the installation begins but seems to hang
up shortly after reading files. No error codes or messages appear but the
hard drive sounds as though it's skipping like an old turntable. I've
attempted several times and have been unsuccessful. Any thoughts?

Pee D,
If you have backups of your Office or Windows files, purchase a new drive
and reinstall the Windows & Office versions you have disks for.
