Office 2000 Installation

Just got a new computer with Windows XP. Trying to load
my Office 2000 Standard Upgrade from previous computer,
but installation cannot find approved files to apply
upgrade. New computer came with Microsoft Word. Will I
have to buy Office XP? Thanks..
