Office 2000 Installed but Have Full XP

I have Office 2000 Professional and have a chance to purchase Office XP
Professional at a discount, but it is not the upgrade version. It is the
full version. What is the best way to proceed. Uninstall 2000 and then
install XP. Or if I leave 2000, will XP see that it is there and act like an
upgrade anyway?

the only difference between retail and upgrade is the price - to get the
lower price of upgrade, you need to own a previous version.

I prefer to uninstall and install the new version, but you can let xp
uninstall 2000 if you want.
