Hi All,
I am having some issues with Office 2000 on Windows 2003 Terminal Server.
Since installation, all users on the Terminal Server continually receive
MSIinstaller errors in the Application event log (Event ID 1004) whenever
they try to open any office applications.
These registry keys seem to be the problem;
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common\UserData does not exist
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Word\UserData does not exist
I have tried to add these to each user, but it makes no differnce.
Even if the Office CD is in the drive, the MSinstaller continually tries to
install missing components every time an office application is launched.
This occurs even if users are members of the administrator group.
I have tried removing office & re-installing, but this has had no effect.
The problem does not exist with the administrator login, just other terminal
server users.
In a nutshell, how do I completely remove Office 2000, (or resolve this
problem)
A few articles mention the use of eraser2K, but it is not intended for use
on a Terminal Server.
Anyones input would be appreciated.
Thanks
