mike

Hello:
A user receives this messgae everytime he double-clicks on
an excel/word doc. "File is already open, would you like
to revert ot the open file".

When he opens excel or word then traverses through his
directory and opens the file, there is no warning message.

thanks.

Hi Mike,

It sounds like the file associations need to be recreated. Go to
Start/Run and run the following:

winword /r
excel /regserver
powerpnt /regserver
msaccess /regserver

Note that there is a space before the forward slash.
