Office 2000 & PPT 2003 compatibility

W

Wiley C

I have 9 computers running:
Windows XP Pro SP2;
Office 2000 [ Word, Excel, Outlook & perhaps Publisher ];
Celeron 800;
512 MB ram;
10 GB free disk space.

I have previously encountered problems with Win XP & Office 2000, on the
"user" accounts.

We need PPT 2003. We can't afford to upgrade to Office 2003.

Are we asking for trouble by installing PPT on these computers?

I await your adivce.

Sincerely,
WC

I think you'll be fine. I'd install it to a different folder than the Office
2000 installation, but other than that, I don't foresee any major issues.

ES:
Thanks for the advice. I am concerned that if I install PPT 2003 to a
different folder problems might occur when PPT needs to be uninstalled.

Sometimes the removal / uninstallation feature / tool / utility looks only in
a specific folder and / or specific registry key.

Thanks for your input, Echo.
