Hello !

I have a problem with installing access off of Microsoft
Office 2000 premium. Im am currently runnin office 97 on
Windows XP. When i start the setup program I see the very
first thing you see, that is a windows
saying , "preparing to install Microsoft Office 2000
Premium". But nothing happens after that. Meanwhile if I
look in the task manager i see that the file MSIEXEC.EXE
takes upp all of the cpus processing time. This
file/process (msiexec.exe)is from what ive gathered the
installer file for Office. Any ideas what this might be
and how to resolve it ?

Id really appreciate it
Thanks in adavance

John,

If you find the answer, I'd love to hear it. I've got
the same problem. I uninstalled (or tried to) Office XP
and want to install Office 2000 SR1, but it hangs at
the "preparing to install" screen.

Thanks,

David
