Office 2000 Pro 2nd disc uninstall

I am trying to uninstall and reinstall Office 2000 Pro after my PC was disrupted during broadband installation. The first disc has uninstalled and reinstalled O.K., but disc 2 will not uninstall or even repair - dialog box just hangs after request to uninstall - any suggestions?
