Office 2000 Pro - Custom dictionary not available

I just purchased Office 2000 Pro and installed it on my
Windows ME. In word, it says "custom dictionary not
available." I went to the microsoft website and found
that I have some finetuning to do to get office to find
the dictionary, but I don't understand the "workaround"
part. How do I get word to find the dictionary? I went
to Options and I have added Stedman dictionaries, but
still it cannot find them. Any help would be appreciated.

A reference to the KB article would really help.

I don't think the Stedman dictionaries qualify as custom dictionaries as
they are not text files. By pointing Word at them in this fashion you are
likely to corrupt them.

Have you tried simply creating a new custom dictionary?
