Office 2000 pro. Error on boot.

Win XP Pro. I only use the Word processor now and it
appears to be working perfectly but, every time I boot up
the PC I get a screen with the following message on the
desktop;

"Windows cannot open this file:
Microsoft Office.Ink.disabled.
To open this file, Windows needs to know what program
created it....etc..."

I have had quite a few problems in getting to grips with
my recent upgrade from ME to XP and I'm getting to the
end of most problems and this appears to be, perhaps, the
final one.
To attempt to cure it I have reloaded Office after
uninstalling it, I have re-loaded XP but I still have
this error screen.
Please can someone assist.

Hi Derek,

Check your Start/Programs/Startup folder for the invalid shortcut and
delete it.
