Office 2000 Pro Install asking for Windows XP SP1 CD

B

Bob Rekieta

A firend is trying to install Office 2000 Pro. The install process asks for
the Windows XP SP1 CD which does not exist as the SP1 update was done via a
download. The install aborts. Any ideas? Thanks

What happens if you put in the Windows XP CD?

Yes, we get this too. It happens if you run the Windows upate and patch the machine. Our testing seems to indicate it as being one of the security bulletin patches messing up the office install/repair

No help. It indicates that the 'wrong' CD is inserted
