Office 2000 problems running with XP SP2

Since I installed the SP2 to my XP Home Edition, the program Windows
Installer of Office 2000 runs each time I start my computer and each time I
open a Office program: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. This is time
consuming and ilogical. How can I solve this problem?
