We have approximatly 250 computers with MS Office 2000 Professional installed, some have the very first version of Office 2000 Pro (with no service packs installed), and some with Office 2000 Pro SP1. We have a new patch server that we can deploy the Office updates and patches to all users, but the user is then being asked for the original MS Office 2000 Professional CD for what ever version is currently installed on their workstation. We have not gone to Active Directory yet, so how can we setup the updates for our users without having to provide the CD's at each workstation? We have a network and can copy the CD's to a network share, but is there a way then to tell the update application where to look for the correct CD?
