Office 2000 Professional to Office XP Standard

Will I loss Access, PowerPoint and other programs when I
install the Office XP Standard Upgrade over Office 2000
Professional SP-3?

(Access and other programs are not included in the Office
XP Standard Upgrade)

Thanks in advance.

Hi, Grant.

This is an unofficial answer, but I'm pretty sure that:

When you upgrade to Office XP Standard, your "standard" apps (Word, Excel,
etc.) will be upgraded to the 2002 versions. Your 2000 versions of Access
and the others will continue to work under the Office XP "umbrella", and
will continue to be updated with fixes for the 2000 versions from Office
Update.

As you probably have noticed, the individual programs within Office XP are
named with the "2002" suffix, rather than "XP": Word 2002, not Word XP, for
example. Older versions (at least the 2000 versions and perhaps the 97
versions) will continue to work as a part of the Office XP Suite.
