Hello-
Hope you can help. Have Office 2k on Pent 4, Win 2k, 2gRAM, not installed
on boot drive, (but I tried that kind of install anyway, 2 no avail). After
what seems to be a succesful install of the program, I attempt 2 opn Word, or
anthr, and receive a dialog:
<<Required registry information is missing and this application cannot run.
Please rerun setup to correct this problem.">>
I'v alrdy tried the fixes offrd by MS on the main site, having both changed
permissions in the registry and in the dcom, again, 2 no avail. I don't c
any othr suggests in the knowbase; any ideas wht 2 do? Thanx.

Best,
Li

In explorer examin your drive, under Program Files is there anything listed
for/under Program Files\MS Office?
or in whatever folder you installed Office2k to?
Or search to include hiddedn for winword.exe, does it fin anything?

If you mean spec. MS registry files, I haven't seen any recognizable ones in
my Office folder, no...all other files seem to be intact, incl. winword.exe.
