Can I install Office 2000 to new computer with Windows xp?
I need Excel and Word programs.

Does Windows xp come with Excel and Word included?

Windows XP is an operating system and only has WordPad.

Office 2000 can be installed fine on Windows XP, provided that:

1. It is a retail copy...

2. If an upgrade, that you have access to the qualifying medium...

3. It is not an OEM product (came preinstalled on your old machine.)

Look under Help->About in any Office Program. If you see the letters OEM,
then that is what you have.
