office 2000 SP-3

Currently I am using MS Office 2000 SR-1. I tried to apply
SP3 from 'Office Products update' page. Soon after it
finishes download, it brings up Windows
Installer...installation window and then says ' update
cannot be applied.' I am using Windows 2000 Professional
and I believe I don't have to upgrade my windows
installer. What is causing office upgrade failure then?
