I purchased Office 2000 as an upgrade from Office 97.
Later, I purchased the SR-1 Patch CD from Microsoft. When
I attempt to Update Office 2000 with any of the Service
Packs, the install program is looking for the data1.msi
(the "i" being for install, I assume) file on the original
disk. I found data1.msp and data2.msp (the "p" being for
patch?) on the SR-1 Patch CD. Fairly large files. I,
again assume, that if I had purchased the original Office
2000 SR-1 disk (not as an upgrade) the data1.msi file
would be on them. Anyone know how to get the Service
packs to work for this situation? Thanks.
