Office 2000 sp3

I am trying to install SP3 for O2K. I currently have SR1a installed, I am a local admin, I have the org install cd but I get the error message...

Update can't be applied

Thats it, nothing else.

When I try to upgrade from the office update web page it simply says

Installation Unsuccessful.

I downloaded and installed Windows Installer 2.0 and same thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
