I am trying to reinstall Office 2000 Premium after upgrading my computer -
including an upgrade from Win98 to XP Home.
I have downloaded all the updates for WinXP.
When I go to the Office site and download SR-1, I get an error message:
MS Office 2000 SR-1 Premium Error 1328. Error applying patch to
C:\Config.Msi\PT144.tmp ... file has already been updated ... (or words to
that effect)
The first time I encountered that I clicked Ignore, but then other updates
failed. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling from the CD and then
reapplying SR-1; tried searching for PT144.tmp and could not locate it.
Help would be much appreciated.
