Office 2000 SR-1 Error 1335

I have repeatedly attempted to install Office 2000 SR-1 on
my Windows 98SE laptop and get Error 1335 'PCW_CAB_SR1 in
corrupt', which causes it to backout. I have tried
the 'Flatfile' technique copying the contents of the
Office 2000 Small Business CD to my hard disk, and though
the copy was fine it didn't solve the problem.

What else can I do to get the update to install?

Did you also try the memory setting as shown in the following article?

Was this copy of Office pre-installed by your original computer
manufacturer? If so, you may need to check with them about how to update
their installation; they're responsible for supporting the copies they
install.
