Hello,
I had Office 2000 SR-1 installed on my machine earlier. I recently
uninstalled it and replaced it with MS Office 2003. Almost every day,
somewhere in my machine a background process runs and reinstalls Office 2000
SR-1 (such that both Office 2000 SR-1 and Office 2003 coexist). All my excel
/ word / powerpoint documents start opening through the Office 2000 SR-1
version although Office 2003 is still operational. I have MS Windows 2000
operating system.
I end up uninstalling MS Office 2000 SR-1 almost daily through the
Add/Remove Programs utility in the control panel.
I am not sure what triggers the reinstall. I have tried looking in the
startup and run registry.
Any ideas where does the Office 2000 SR-1 installable would reside (after I
have uninstalled it) that I could delete? Or are there any specific files
that I can search for to identify the location of the installables?
Alternatively, is there a way I can stop reinstall from getting triggerred?
Any suggestions please?
Best Regards,
Ashish
